Detachment 110

Helicopter Combat Support Squadron SEVEN Detachment 110 departed Atsugi Naval Air Station for the first time at 0600 on January 30, 1968. As can be seen from the arrival and departure endorsements the det landed aboard KEARSARGE at 1700 that same day. The picture is of the original TAD orders courtesy of then AX2 Paul Trombetta. Det 110 remained on Yankee Station, in the Gulf of Tonkin, for the duration of the Seadevil's deployment to the Far East.

Unfortunately, the TAD orders are badly faded but Paul has supplied a hand written list of the enlisted men who were "plankowners" of 110. When the partial names are filled in and the officer and cpo compliment received, they will be added.

Although the officers and chiefs were issued separate TAD orders Paul recalls that Chief Tank Delaney was on the det. Any help in filling in the blanks and providing officer and cpo names will be appreciated.
